Woodrow Granville Ellis, 75 of Middlesboro passed away on Saturday, March 10 at his home. He was born in Jenson, KY on August 25, 1936 and was the son of the late Emmitt and Florence Lasley Ellis. Woodrow was a member and deacon of the West Cumberland Avenue Baptist Church, owned and operated Ellis' Union 76 Service Stations in Pineville until his retirement and very much loved his family, his church family and his animals. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Jones; brothers, Norman, Homer, William and Joe Ellis; and sisters, Gevina Ellis, Winifred Liford, Bertha Jones, Virgie Ellis and Flora Walters. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Tommie Sue Smith Ellis of Middlesboro; children, Debbie Lambert of Middlesboro and Mike Ellis and wife, Darlene of Middlesboro; grandsons, Jivonni Goins, Toby Daniel, Todd Michael, Timothy Luke, Tyler Isaiah and Trevor Matthew Ellis; great-grandchildren, Todd Michael, Kaden Luke, Sophie Marie, Hailey Danielle, Riley David and Chloe Mae Ellis; a brother, Ernest Ellis of Hamilton, OH and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends
