Wilsie Middleton Evans, age 88 of Tazewell, Tennessee made her crossing peacefully at her home on April 1, 2012 with her loving children by her side. She was a precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was born April 12, 1923 on Cumberland Mountain, and came to know the Lord in ther late 30's at Pinehill Missionary Baptist Church now known as Mt. Pleasant. She was a strong-willed, free-spirited person who loved people and life. Wilsie was such a treasurer to her family and loved ones, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Moments before her passing she gave a great witness to her family as her last words were, "I love you all with all my heart" and lifted her hand and pointed toward Heaven, then appeared to shake hands perhaps with Jesus or loved ones she had long awaited to see once again. She touched so many lives as her heart and home was always open, and we will never forget the stories she told us of her life.

Wilsie was preceded in death by father and mother: Pete and Molly (Stone) Middleton; infant sons: William Pete and David; husband: Herman Evans; sister: Ethel Cochrum; brother: Granville Middleton; grandchildren: Victoria Seal, James Evans, and Gary Evans; great grandson: Dacoda Bussell; and daughter-in-law; Barbara Evans.

She is survived by sons: Herman (Bo) and Lois Evans, Kenneth and Carolyn Evans, and Earl Evans; daughters: Christine and Doug Bussell, Geneva and the late Lynn Bussell, and Shirley and Roger Daniels; grandchildren: Shelia Monty, Dennis Evans, Carlos Evans, Rhonda Cosby, Brittany Evans, Erica Evans, Ricky Evans, Kenneth Evans, Jr., Missy McFall, Angie Eads, Billy Mize, David Mize, Scottie Mize, Shannon Williams, Bobbie Bussell, Sarah Daniels, Jessica Bussell, Anita West, Jessie Wilson, Trent Bussell, Shanna Yeary, Nichole Seal, Chastina Bussell, Samantha Evans, Amanda Miracle, and Roger Daniels, Jr; a host of great grandchldren and great-great grandchildren, friends and relatives.
