William Glenn Widner, 55, of Calvin passed away October 28, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital. Born February 23, 1954 in Pineville, KY. He was the son of Helen Lee Widner and the late Bill Widner. He believed in the Pentecostal faith. He had been co-owner of Widemark & Widner and Sons. Glen was born with a God given talent for music and at the age of nine began to play the drums. His heart?s desire was to use his talent to serve and praise the Lord. He did this as the drummer for The Heaven Bound Singers for nearly two decades. His love for the Lord allowed him to travel the country with the band to sing and minister God?s word. Later in life Glenn served as a guest Chaplain at the Chenoa Prison Camp. Glenn loved God, life, his family and most of all his sweet grandbabies. He will be truly missed but celebrated for the life he lived and the love and kindness he showed to others. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Carolyn Sue Miracle Widner, children, Stephanie and Dan Sanders and Michael and Tammy Widner, grandchildren whom he called his babies, Kyle, Emily and Ethan Widner, Brooklyn and Hailey Sanders, mother, Helen Lee Widner, special mother-in-law & care-giver whom he called mamaw, Mae Miracle, brother, Stephen and Nancy Widner, sister, Pam and Fox Hensley, sister & brother-in-law, Marlene and Bob Wrzenski and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
