William Douglas Quillen, 62 of Middlesboro passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born in Middlesboro on December 20, 1958, a son of the late William Arthur and Zora Hotense Lee Quillen. He had worked as a Mechanic and Welder. Doug was an avid gardener, made molasses and was a great fan of the Bell County Bobcats. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Arthalea Jackson Quillen; children and their spouses, Erin and Drew Petersen, Joel and Julia Quillen and Matthew and Jessica Quillen; grandchildren, Trace and Gracie Freeman; sisters and their husbands, Alberta and Kenneth Robbins and Judy and John Robbins; special sister-in-law, Robin Smith and husband, Mike; special friends. Ronnie Brock, George Lewis, Joe Janeway, Kevin Gay, Carroll Gibbons, Greg DeWeese, Tim Gibbs, Carson Arnett, Mark Slusher, Mike Buell, Andy Buell and Mike Middleton and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will meet at the gGraveside for Services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday November 3, at Turner Smith Cemetery at Colmar with Rev. David Gibbons. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
