William Marvin "Bill" Phillips, age 64, Pineville, KY, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Born July 19, 1956 in Lancing, MI, he was the son of the late Bill and Emma Phillips. He was a 1975 graduate of Flemingsburg High School, and knew Hillsboro, KY as his hometown. He was founder and former owner of Phillips Masonry in Lancaster, KY, a proud "Poppy" to his grandbabies, loved music, and was a member of First Christian Church in Pineville. Bill is survived by four sons: Skip (Kerri) Phillips of Pineville, KY, Chris (Whitney) Phillips of Knoxville, TN, Brian McClain-Phillips, and Jeromie (Brandon) Brann, both of Lexington, KY; ten grandchildren, SR Zeke Phillips of Chicago, IL, Kaitlyn Phillips of Lexington, KY, Abby Phillips, Gabe Phillips, Isaac Phillips and Aiden Phillips all of Knoxville, TN, Jason Jones of Pineville, KY, Will Phillips of Pineville, KY, Eli Kirkpatrick and Kenzie Humber of Mercer, KY; five sisters, Kay Bailey, Verna Phillips of Hillsboro, KY, Vicie Marshall of Maysville, KY, Dianna (Ray) Denton of Flemingsburg, KY, and Trish Phillips of Morehead, KY; one brother, Frank Phillips; his partner Debbie McClain of Pineville, KY; two daughters-in-law, Amanda Weikel of Lexington, KY and Stephanie Humber of Richmond, KY; and a niece, Emmily Dawn of Hillsboro, KY, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Emma Phillips. There will not be a public service or visitation; however, a private family memorial will be conducted. Bill's ashes will be laid to rest in his hometown of Hillsboro, KY. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the Phillips Family.
