William E. "Bill" Gunter

William Edgar Gunter, 77, of Middlesboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Claiborne Medical Center, Tazewell. He was born in Middlesboro on August 11, 1940 a son of the late Roy and Julia Howard Spade. He had worked as a truck driver and had been active with the Bell County Rescue Squad for many years. Bill had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Louise Allen Gunter in January, 2018 and a brother, Roy Edward Spade. Survivors include his sons, Billy Gunter, Tim Gunter and Paul Gunter; grandchildren, Dennis Gunter, Zed Gunter, Michael Gunter, Kimberly Orr, Marissa Strong, Amanda Gunter and Savana Gunter.; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Terry Spade, Benny Spade, Gail and Walter Hall, Judy and Marvin Rosson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with a service at 8:00 PM.
