William D. Byrd of Harrogate, TN was born Nov. 14, 1928 and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. William was a member of Pump Springs Baptist church and retired from Continental Aviation & Engineering Division of Teledyne Corp. in Toledo, Ohio.

Preceded in death by parents, Doyle and Nora Byrd; his beloved first wife, Ada Rue Anderson Byrd of Jefferson City, TN; brother, Marvin Byrd; sisters, Ina Lee Byrd Yeary, Kathleen Fultz and sister-in-law, Ina Ruth Humfleet Byrd.

Survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy Byrd; three brothers, Robert, George, and Fred Byrd; Sister-in-law, Delores Byrd; sons, Michael Byrd and wife Linda, Gary Byrd and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Crystal, Jeremy, Chere, Gary Leigh, Aaron, Michelle and Michael; eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
