He went to be with the Lord on Feburary 9,2012 at his home. he was a member of Alanthus Hill Missionary Baptist Church he farmed and was a former employee at Cole Colliers Publishing Co. in Springfield Ohio and England Inc. in Tazewell,TN. He and his wife Dorothy celebrated 54 years of marriage and was always together.He was preceded in death by his parents Marion A. and Ola Mae (Estep)Brooks, Brothers Huston Brooks, Harry Lee Brooks, James Howard Brooks, and Clayton Brooks. Sisters Gladys M. Brooks and Ruby Jewell Brooks. he is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (England) Brooks Daughter: Donna Y Brooks and husband Kenneth Brooks of Ewing ,VA. Grandsons: Jason K. Brooks of Tazewell,TN. And Luke W. Brooks Of Ewing, VA. Great Granddaughters: Amylee Brooks and Alexis Brooks. Sisters: Axie Longworth of Philadelphia,TN. And Della June Brooks of Ewing VA. Brother: Norman Ray and Betty Brooks of Ewing,VA. several Nieces and Nephewes and a host of other family and friends and neighbors. The Family will receive Friends Sunday Feburary 12,2012 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Reece Funeral Home .Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday Feburary 13, 2012 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Larry Carman and Rev. Jay Sulfridge Music by Jim Barnes and Adam Barnes Pallbearers : Jason Brooks, Luke Brooks, William(Buddy)Mustard, Norman Brooks,Jamie Brooks, Billy Saylor. Honorary Pallbearer: Walter Longworth. burial will be at Jones Cemetery in Ewing VA.
