Willard Perkins

Willard James Perkins, 75, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the Pineville Community Hospital. Born in Woodbine, KY on November 19, 1933, he was the son of the late Ben C. and Gladys Egner Perkins. He had worked for the City of Pineville for over 56 years on the Street Department and had been a Pineville Volunteer Fire Fighter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Debra Lynn and James E. Perkins; brothers and sisters, William and Jerome Perkins and Ruby Runion. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sarah Taber Perkins, children and their spouses, Tommy Perkins, Billy Ray and Brenda Perkins, Shirley and James Bryant, Pamela and Ralph Howard, Brenda and Timothy Chapman; grandchildren, Ann, Rodney, Adrianna, Robin, Tommy and Amanda; great-grandchildren, Rodney, Jr., Justin, Duncan, Emily, Alicia, Erica and Eddie, Jr.; great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Keisha; brother, Charles Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
