Wanda Napier

Wanda Green Napier, 80 of Arjay, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at the Pineville Community Health Center. She was born in Brownies Creek on March 14, 1943, a daughter of the late Otis and Hassie Hunley Green. Wanda had owned and operated Wanda’s Grocery for over 60 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Napier; brother, Gordon Green; and sister, Carolyn Harrell.

Wanda is survived by her children, Michael Wayne Napier, Angela Michelle Hall, Kelly Napier, Jr., and Reed Allen Napier; grandchildren, Larissa Napier, James Napier, Breanna Heidemann, Monet Heidemann, Amber Napier, Victoria Heidemann, Brandon Napier, and Serenadi Napier; great-grandson, Tripp Heidemann; sisters, Bonnie Bullins, and Brenda Wilder; brother, Paul Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. James Polly and Wilkie Saylor presiding. Music will be provided by Josh Gipson and Theda Polly. Burial will follow at the Napier Cemetery in Arjay. Pallbearers will be Allen Napier, Kelly Napier, Jr., Michael Napier, Eddie Hall, Ernie Buell, and Josh Gipson.
