Wanda Messer Bailey

Wanda Inez Bailey, 87, of Arjay, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born in Rella, Kentucky on April 12, 1935, a daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys Reno Messer. She had been a member of the Arjay Pentecostal Church and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Howard Bailey; grandchildren, Odell Bailey and April Kimble; great-grandchildren, Noel and Sierra Bailey; sisters, Joyce Lewis and Fern Brock; and brothers, Don Saylor and wife, Fredia, Bill Messer, and Dale Messer.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Woody Bailey and wife, Jean, Gary Bailey, and Daryl Bailey; grandchildren, Corey Bailey and wife, Morgan, Michael Bailey and wife, Kristy, Danielle Asbury and husband, Zach; great-grandchildren, Tyler Bailey, Bradley Bailey, Cynthia Bailey, Whitney Bailey, Bailey Kimble, Dylan Kimble, Olivia Kimble and Jaxon Bailey; four great-great grandchildren, brother, Larry Messer and wife, Sue Ann; sister-in-law, Carol Ann Messer; friends, Virginia Saylor, Sherrie Patrick, Edd and Peggy Hoskins, Lynn Wagner and Carolyn Gambrel; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Randall Beverly presiding. Music will be provided by Kristy Bailey. Burial will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Corey Bailey, Tyler Bailey, Bradley Bailey, Michael Bailey, Zach Ashbury, Ernest Messer, Marty Messer, Gary Bailey, Woody Bailey, and Daryl Bailey.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bailey Family.
