Walter Gibbons

Walter Gibbons age 100 years a long time resident of Lee Co., VA passed away Aug 29, 2006. He was born in Bell Co., KY, the son of the late William & Nancy Hensley Gibbons. He was a member of The Bethany Christian Church in Ewing, VA.

Mr. Gibbons was predeceased by his wife of 65 years Martha Wright Gibbons, five brothers Elige, Frank, Bert, Bishop and Jesse, also three sisters Rhoda, Josie, and Aekie.

He is survived by five children:

Cleo G. Good (& Ralph) of Urbanna, VA, W. Lester Gibbons (& Norma) Georgetown, OH, Terry W. Gibbons (& Ginger) Gillette WY, John W. Littrell Vinton, VA, Eula L. Bailey Belenigham, WA. One brother; Nathan Gibbons Middlesboro, KY. Eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Reece Funeral Home, Harrogate, TN with Rev. Keith Hampson officiating. Music by The Bethany Christian Church Choir. Burial at the Susong Cemetery, Ewing VA. Pallbearers: Douglas Gibbons, David Scales, Allen Scales, Jerremy Gibbons, L.B. Gibbons & Harold Gibbons.
