Walter Eugene Davis, 84, of New Tazewell, Tennessee was born March 11, 1928 and passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012. He was born in Rockwood, Tennessee.
He was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover & Laura Davis and brother Paul Davis.
Survivors include, daughter: Ruth Ann Smith, grandson: Ben Smith, brother: Woodrow Davis & wife Imogene, sister: Ethel Barnard & husband Jack, nephew: Larry Davis, niece: Linda Faye Hagan.
Funeral services 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Bruce Davis officiating. Singers will be Rev. Fred Reed and Brenda Bolden. Burial to follow in the Wilson-Baumgardner Cemetery, Tazewell, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 - 8 at Reece Funeral Home and Valley Chapel 869 3651 or www.reecefh.com.
