Virginia Lee (Nelson) Brooks

Ewing, VA

Virginia Lee Nelson Brooks, 93, of Ewing, VA passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Middlesboro Health Care.  She was born in Ewing, VA on December 8, 1926 a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Rettie Stanley Nelson.  She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Levi G. Brooks; infant son, Stanbra Charles Brooks; daughter, Melissa Cook and brother, Lester Nelson.

Survivors include her daughter, Andra Poffenbarger; grandchildren, Jason Harris, Andy Harris, Alex Harris, Robbie Cook and Michael Cook; great-grandchildren, Miranda Harris, Logan Harris, Zach Harris, Luke Harris, Tucker Harris, Abby Harris, Sam Harris and Gus Harris and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Forge Ridge with Rev. Lawrence Fultz and Rev Kim Collingsworth.  Music will be by the Robbie Parks Family.

Memorial donations may be made to Walnut Hill Baptist Church, 216 Goat Town Road, Ewing, VA 24248.
