Virginia Sue Fugate

Virginia Sue Smith Fugate, 68 of Pineville, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Saint Joseph Hospital in London, KY. She was born on December 18, 1950 in Blanche, KY and was a daughter of the late Elbert and Viola Hubbard Smith. Virginia was a member of the Green Camp Pentecostal Church and had been a homemaker and a caregiver. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Fugate; grandchild, Taylor Fugate; brothers, Thurman Smith and Burchel Smith and sisters, Esclene Ellison and Verda Frost. She is survived by her children, Angela Carnes and husband, Michael, Tabitha Risner and husband, Jody, Donald Fugate, Jr., and Jeremiah Fugate and significant other, Melissa Naff; grandchildren, Ashley Goodin and husband, Dustin, Derrick Fugate and wife, Kayla, Megan Brock and husband, Steven, Morgan Fugate, Dylan Carnes and wife Taylor, Abigail Risener, Emma Risner, Kipton Fugate and Gracie Fugate; great grandchildren, Payson Brock, Jaxson Goodin, Leah Goodin, Levi Goodin and Kabela Fugate; brothers, Frank Smith and Curtis Smith; sisters, Lily B. Collett, Evelyn Grubbs and Beulah Mae Jones and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be on Thursday, December 12 at 2:00 PM at the Arjay Community Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gary Wagner and Elder Jody Risner. Music will be provided by church singers. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Arjay with family & friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 11 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arjay Community Pentecostal Church.
