Virgil Lee Scott, Sr

Virgil Lee Scott Sr. age 77 of Cumberland Gap, formerly of Independence KY passed away April 26 at his home. He was born Jan 10, 1937 to the late Leonard & Polly Pace Scott. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Son- Virgil Lee Scott Jr., Brothers- Steve, Elijah, Harvey, & Amos and Sister- Marie Goins. He attended The Church of God Mountain Assembly in Middlesboro, was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Covington KY and loved gardening & landscaping. He served in the Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include: Wife- Anna Scott of Cumberland Gap, Son- Gary Lee (& Terri) of Florence KY, Daughters- Sandra Scott of Florence & Michele (& Doug) Schawe of Corinth KY, Teresa (& Kenneth) Warner of Florence, Brothers- Clyde Scott of Huntly VA, James Scott of Spotsylvania VA & David Scott of Suffolk VA, Sisters- Zelma Goins of Waynesboro PA, Thelma Scott of Rose Hill VA, Naomi Clarke of Alexandria VA. 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildrern and a host of nieces & nephews, family & friends.
