Virgie Pennington

Virgie Mae Pennington, 82, of Calvin, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born in Liggett, KY on November 23, 1926 a daughter of the late Thurman and Lena Gaves Nix. She was a member of the Wasioto Baptist Church and had been a clerk at Taylor Drugs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Pennington, sister, Sarah Ruth Nix and brothers, Lewis Nix and Walter Nix. Survivors include her children, John Clayton Pennington of Shepherdsville, KY and Donna She Bashon of Leitchfield, KY; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters, Juanita Parsons of Richmond, KY, Lucille Hensley of Wallins, KY and Helen Roark of Calvin, KY, brother, Ardian Nix of Mt. Sterling, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
