Viola Eva Tinnel

Mrs. Viola Tinnel, age 99, of Monroe, MI formerly of Speedwell, TN was born April 1, 1925 and passed away peacefully Monday, September 2, 2024. She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Viola loved spending time outdoors doing yardwork and gardening. She also enjoyed working puzzles, puzzle books, cooking and most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Martha (Beason) Robertson, husband; Haskell Tinnel, son; Leeroy Tinnel, brothers; Clyde Robertson, Charlie Robertson, and Lada Robertson, sister; Mabel McGeorge.

She is survived by her children; Gail Sampsel and husband Ross, Carlos Tinnel and wife Lee, grandchildren; Nicole Debellefeville and husband Curtis, Daniel Sampsel, Mike Tinnel and wife Michelle, Jodie Osseili, Melanie Tinnel, great grandchildren; Michael Tinnel, Jr. and wife Melissa, Mitchell Tinnel and wife Angela, Hadi Osseili, Mahdi Osseili, Nora Debellefeville, Mila Debellefeville, great-great grandchildren; J.T. Tinnel and Robbie Tinnel. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Trevor Bean officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11AM Sunday, September 8, 2024 in the Jim Robertson Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
