Vernon L. ?Shorty? Templeton, 66, of Ingram, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at his home. He was born in Balkan, KY on November 20, 1944 a son of the late Edward and Cordie Griffin Templeton. He had retired from Teco Coal where he worked as a Coal Tipple Maintenance Man. He was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Curtis Templeton, Mary Templeton, Inzy Colettt, Opal Franks, James ?Jim? Templeton, Larry ?Shot? Templeton and Betty Nichols. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joyce Fuson Templeton; children, Sue Templeton of Ingram and Charles ?Pete? Templeton of Central City, KY; grandchildren, Jana Templeton, Shanda Mason and Tyler Templeton; brother and sisters, Shelby Nichols of Alabama, Brenda Sue Trosper of Middlesboro and Virgil Templeton of Pineville, special nephew, Mickey Fuson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
