Vernon Curtis Miller

Vernon Curtis Miller, 87, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Arjay, KY on October 13, 1927 a son of the late Elijah and Betty Howell Miller. He had been a coal truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vestal Miller. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Magadalene Rice Miller, children, Charlene Smith, Kenneth Lee Miller, Monola Ann Miller, Vance Vernon Miller, Beulah Faye Miller Lefevers, Cheryl Goodin and Lana Carol Howard; grandchildren, Michelle L. (Dewayne) Wilder, David A. Smith, Chasity Sizemore, Queena (David) Belcher, Kevin (Adrianna) Miller, Brandon Fugate, Vance (Dixie) Miller, Jr., Britany (Cody) Carnes, Gage Miller, Billy Joe Brock, Candance Lefevers, Shawn Smallwood and Carisa Kieso; great-grandchildren, Tori Wilder, Tristan McKay Sizemore, Brooklyn Sizemore, Damian Messer, Devin Messer, Katie Belcher, D.J. Belcher, Kaleb Miller, Kaida Miller, Kiley Fugate, McKenzie Fugate, Payton Carnes, Billy Joe Brock, III and Mason Kieso and a host other relatives and friends. Services will be Wednesday at 3:30 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Wagner. Music will be by Julie Wagner. Burial will be in the Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Miller family.
