Vada Mullins

Vada Ann Brock Mullins, 68, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Pineville on October 6, 1944, a daughter of the late Hestle and Lillie Jackson Brock. She was a member of the Community Harvest Tablernacle and was very dedicated to her faith. She had been a homemaker and loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Vada enjoyed helping others and put others before herself. She was very appreciative and thoughtful to all her friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Tommy Mullins; brothers, Rev. Robert Brock and Melvin Brock and brother-in-law, Glen Mullins. Survivors include her children, Penny Philpot and husband, Steven, Kellie Gambrel and husband, Dan and Derrick Mullins; grandchildren, Cole Philpot, Austin Gambrel, Ethan Gambrel, Emma Lillie Gambrel and Sheena Philpot; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Landon and Hailee; brothers and sisters, Christine Cornelius, Pauline Baker, Mary Rose, Martha Brock and Millard Brock. brothers and sister-in-law, Arkie Jones, Shirley Poff, Kenneth Mullins and Artist Mullins, many special friends including, Mary Rice, Betty Goins, Clara Rogers, Carolyn Widner, Nancy Judd and Shirley Burnett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
