Tressie Patterson Mosley

Tressie Patterson Mosley, 85, of Dorton Branch, Pineville, Kentucky, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Mary Breckenridge ARH Rehabilitation in Hyden, Kentucky. She was born on January 4, 1938, in Erose, Kentucky. She had lived in Dorton Branch for more the 50 years. Tressie worked for Pineville Community Hospital for 5 years and at Denim Finishers for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Odia Jackson Patterson; her stepmother, Lillie Collett Patterson; husband, Sam Mosley; two sons, Harold Mosley and Jimmy Ray Mosley; six brothers, Luster, Carnes, Russell, Ronald Ray, Arnold Lee and Michael “Mitch” Patterson; and one sister, Essiline Patterson Phillips.

She is survived by two sons, Darrell (Teresa) Mosley of Dorton Branch and Kenneth Charles (Brenda) Mosley of Bledsoe; two sisters, Evelynn (Vernon) Wagers and Marie Jones; five brothers, Custer, Oscar, Jr., Glen, Claude, and Clyde Patterson; seven grandchildren, Tressie Parrott, Rebecca Mosley, Joshua Mosley, Christopher Lee Mosley, Kimberly Venable, Danielle Mosley, and Craig Mosley; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Patterson and Rev. Charles Mosley presiding.
