Tressie Lawson Gibson, 92, of Bean Station, formerly of Stoney Fork, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at her home. She was born in Beverly, KY on June 17, 1925, a daughter of the late Ewell and Ethel Meredith Lawson. She believed in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Gibson and brother, Golden Lawson. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Everett Birchelee and Dawn Knuckles, Imogene and Ronal B. Jarnagin; grandchildren, Ronald L. and Bonita Lawson, Pamela C. and Chris Jespersen, Melissa Knuckles, Chris Knuckles, Chad Tucker, Amanda Kinman and Marshall Tucker; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Mollie Marie Pratt and Mabel Whitaker, special friends, Gerald and Willie Moore and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Darrell Lowe. Music will be by Kathy Brock. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the family of Tressie Gibson.
