Tommy Lynn Lawson, 56 of Tazewell, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Red Bird on December 14, 1967, a son of David and Della Mae Saylor Lawson. Tommy had been a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ardil and Dora Lawson and Claude and Helen Saylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Katrina Smallwood Lawson; son, Christopher Lawson; daughter, Gabrielle and Will Harp; grandsons, Caleb Harp and Aaron Harp; parents, David and Della Lawson; sister, Dora and Arthur Blevins; brother, Wayne and Tonya Lawson; nephews, Colton Smallwood, Eli Smallwood, Clay Lawson, and Isaiah Lawson; nieces, Jade Smallwood, Kassidy Hoskins, Kendra Blanton, and Tyler Blanton; special friends, Kathy Ausmus and Jill Brooks; and a host of great nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Hensley, Rev. Simon Daniels, and Rev. Harold Collins presiding. Music will be provided by Lola Brock and Demus Couch. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate. Pallbearers will be Clay Lawson, Isaiah Lawson, Tyler Blanton, Will Harp, Arthur Blevins, Michael Helton, Darrel Saylor, Earnie Helton, and a host of family and friends.
