Sgt. Toby Will Evans, age 23, of Cumberland Gap passed away April 15th, 2006. He was a member of Gap Creek Baptist Church, and on active duty with the 82nd Airborne Division 2nd 504th, Ft. Brag, NC, recently redeployed in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Army good conduct medal, National defense medal, and Global war on terrorism service medal.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19th at Reece Valley Chapel with Rev. Bobby Partin and Rev. Jack Burns officiating. Burial will be in the Evans Family Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers-Junior Evans, Andy Gerding, Rocky Partin, Jeffery Ellis, Jeff Tindell, Brooks Cowell, Rocky Lane, and Jerry Allen Fortner. Honorary pallbearers-Lawrence Hunley, Tommy Lawson, Chris Sutton, Bo Elliott, Brian Lambert, Chuck Money, Timmy Partin, Glen Smith and Chris Cutcher.
