Tishie Saylor Belcher

Tishia Saylor Belcher, 85, of Stoney Fork, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 28, 1928 a daughter of the late Jonathan and Delia Caldwell Saylor. She was a member of the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church, and was homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Belcher; daughter, Esseline Belcher; daughter-in-law, Joy Belcher; grandson, Ronnie Belcher; brothers and sisters, Dillard, Elmer, Eli, Manuel, Sarah, Martha and Elizabeth. Survivors include her children, Rev. Herstel Belcher, Pearl Belcher and wife, Brenda, Daniel Belcher and Linda; Helen Belcher Miracle and husband, Mark; twins, Geneva Belcher Godsey and Gelena Belcher Funk and husband, Frank, her 'Angel,' Donnie Belcher; best friend, Vestina Saylor; twenty grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; twenty-five great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, John Saylor, Rosetta Lewis and Nora Lee Malicoat and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church with Rev. Herstel Belcher and Rev. Darrell Lowe. Music will be by the Church family. Burial will be in the Whitehead Cemetery at Stoney Fork with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday after 12:00 Noon at the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church.
