Timothy Brent Lasley

On April 16, 2020, Timothy Brent Lasley of Laurel Hill left this earth to be with God following a two year battle with ALS. Tim was born on May 5, 1959, to the late Bob E. Lasley and JoAnn (Brock) Lasley both of Kettle Island Kentucky. Tim spent most of his childhood and high school years running in the mountains and creeks, and collecting various animals to raise. He played football for Bell County High School and received various accolades in both football and track. He loved horses and music and was an accomplished musician.Tim played the piano, drums and guitar. Tim married the love of his life, Teresa Osborne, on June 16, 1979 and moved to Laurel Hill where he spent the rest of his life. Tim and Teresa have one son, Timothy Brent Lasley the 2nd, who is married to Brandy (Smith). Everyone who knew Tim knew he had certain zest for life that was unparalleled. You just knew when he walked into a room that everything was about to change for the better. That constant twinkle in his eye and undeterred humor made Tim a favorite among people of all classes and all walks of life, young and old. Tim loved life. Every day. All day. Tim was a successful entrepreneur and spent his life in various business endeavors. He enjoyed being a part of the clean up New Orleans after hurricane Katrina, and other disasters in the south. His construction crew worked on many local projects including Harlan High School and Wasioto Golf Course. Tim leaves behind a mother-in-law, Mary Osborn; brother, Greg Lasley; sister-in-law, Vivian; sister, Pam (Lasley) and brother-in-law, Jeff Whitehead; sister-in-law, Rhonda (Osborne) Spady and brother-in-law, Mike Spady. Additionally, he will be missed by beloved nieces Jessica (Trae) Winkler, Meaghan (Seth) Lundeen, Keishia (Michael) Landsaw, Stephan Lasley and Rachel Spady. Preceding him in death were his beloved Aunt Vesta Collett, Uncle John Brock, grandparents Perl and Florence Brock, and father-in-law, Henry Osborne. Tim will also be sadly missed by his Aunts and Uncles, Al Brock, Gwen Sharp, Brenda and Ronnie Jones, Linda Redmond, Judy and James Rice and Mickey and Ted Wilder, Barbara Hoskins, and Will Johnson and a host of cousins. Pallbearers include Robert Caruso, Mike Sizemore, David (Moose) Helton, John Smith, Eric Brock, and Bill Brock. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Robert Caruso, Tim's "adopted brother" for his tireless commitment to serving Tim and Teresa during their time of need. God surely sent you. Additional thanks to Gwen Rickrode, Linda Day, Amedisys Home Health, Sav-Home Care, Hospice of the Bluegrass, UK ALS Clinic, Pineville Community Health Center, Dr. Jerry Woolum and Dr. Ashutosh Lohe, and the many others that helped along this difficult journey. Due to current circumstance, there will be a private graveside service for family and close friends. Rev. Matthew Robbins and Rev. David Rice will officiate the service.
