Thurman Miller, 88, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Pineville on January 3, 1927 a son of the late Charlie and Martha Hatfield Miller. Thurman had served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Old Four Mile Pentecostal Church and had been a carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Judy Adcox, Helen Napier and Georgia Robbins. Survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Miller, son, Donnie Joe Miller; grandchildren, Randy and James; brother, Ralph Miller and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks is given to all his friends and neighbors at Engle's Drive In, the High Rise and Wallsend. Thank you for the care given at the Pineville Nursing and Rehab Center and Hospital. Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at the Old Four Mile Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bill Engle, Jr. and Rev. Bill Dunn. Music will be by Linda and Brenda Elam and Bill Dunn. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be, Jason Adcox, George Clyde Robbins, Glennis Robbins, Harold Harbin, Evert Emery and John Carroll. The family will receive friends from 12 until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the Old Four Mile Pentecostal Church.
