Thelma Jean Neal

Thelma Jean Hensley Neal, 73 of Pathfork, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2021 at the Harlan ARH Hospital. Thelma and her twin sister Willene were born to the late Elijah and Anna Scott Hensley on December 26, 1947 in Calvin, Kentucky. She is one of eleven children. In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Bundy and sister, Cosette Brock. Thelma is survived by her husband, James Neal of Pathfork; children, Bobby Bundy and wife, Tammy of Georgetown, Kentucky, Brian Bundy and wife, Carol of Wallins Creek, Kentucky, Elijah Bundy and wife, Angie of Speedwell, Tennessee, Sheena Gilbert of Pathfork, Kentucky and Caleb Neal of Pathfork, Kentucky; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Carroll and husband, Bob of Florence, Kentucky, Dorothy Fleming and husband, John of Anaheim, California, Erma Howard and husband, Orbin of Calloway, Kentucky, Willene Burgess and husband, Gary of Loudon, Tennessee, Lana McPeek and husband, Harry of Corbin, Kentucky and Charlotte Helton and husband, Glen of Hulan, Kentucky; brothers, Lawrence Hensley and wife, Kathy of Pathfork, Kentucky, Rabon Hensley and wife, Sherri of Burlington, Kentucky and Robert Hensley and wife, Karen of Pathfork, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Thelma loved her family very much and took care of those that could not take care of themselves. She was a very selfless, kind, and loving person in every way. She always put others before herself. Thelma attended Bethel Holiness Church and was a homemaker. She will be missed tremendously by those who knew and loved her. Our loss is Heaven’s gain!! Funeral services will be on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 4:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. John Lundy. Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork with Bobby Bundy, Brian Bundy, Elijah Bundy, Josh Bundy, Robert Hensley, and Caleb Neal serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Neal Family.
