Teddy Roosevelt Jackson, 72, of Arjay, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Continue Care Hospital, Corbin. He was born in Blanche on August 20, 1941, a son of the late Theodore Roosevelt Jackson and Litha Spurlock Jackson Hooker. He believed in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a mechanic in the coal mines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Ethel 'Wanda' Hooker, Jerlene Warren, Raymond Hall, J.D. Hall, Gertrude Kilgore, Zelma Lee Jackson and Pauline Jackson; nephews, Raymond Hall, Jr., Willie Joe Warren and Carl Douglas Hooker. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Cora Smith Jackson, daughters, Litha Ann Partin and husband, Daniel and Angie Marie Sullivan; granddaughters, Hope Nicole and LeeAnn Sullivan; brothers and sisters, Brenda Cook, Delbert Jackson, Wesley Smith and Francis Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be Monday at 12 Noon at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ed Houston and Rev. Greg Abraham. Burial will be in the Big Jim Cemetery at Arjay with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Jackson Family.
