Teddy Wayne Wilder, 70, of Kettle Island, Kentucky a child of God and faithful servant, entered his Heavenly Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Born November 1, 1951, Ted was the son of the late Joe and Ethel (Cupp) Wilder of Barbourville, Kentucky. He was the oldest of 7 children and husband to Mickey Wilder of Kettle Island. Ted and Mickey were married on October 2, 1972, they would have been celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year. Ted and Mickey have two daughters, Jennifer and JoAnn and his big girl, Grace. Ted is preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law; Perl and Florence Brock; and two nephews, Teddy Michael Wilder and Ernie Joe Bennett of Barbourville, Kentucky. Left to celebrate his life and continue his legacy of serving the Lord is his wife Mickey, daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and David Blankenship and JoAnn Wilder all of Kettle Island. His grandchildren, Grace Wilder, Jonathan and Charity Blankenship, and Ameila and Josh Bradley. Bonus sons and daughters, Gary and Rebecca Miller and Eric and Andrea Burchfield. And his special buddy, Luke Miller who knew Ted best as Santa! His four brothers, Joe (Mary), Harold, Johnny (Connie), and Gerald (Louise) Wilder. His two sisters, Shelia Bennett, and Regina Wilder all of Barbourville, Kentucky. Ted is known by his love of the Lord, his heart to serve and love for his family. He lived his life by the Bible and stayed up late many nights studying the Word. His advice was grounded in God and his faith unshakeable. He loved serving his church, Mill Creek Baptist, by leading the youth, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, driving a bus, serving as church treasurer and deacon and being an encourager to all. He also had been a coal miner and enjoyed his Wednesday prayer meeting at Sizemore Hardware Store and First State Bank with wonderful friends. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Mill Creek Baptist Church on Hwy 221 in Kettle Island, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Mill Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Choose Life Ministries 236 Burgess Rd. Gaffney, SC 29341 and Mill Creek Baptist Church. Ted's grandsons, nephews and great nephews will serve at pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Al Brock, Ronnie Jones, James Rice, Gary Miller, Eric Burchfield, Brian, Colman, Keith Lefevers, Donnie Fox, Charles Evans, John Saylor, Devon Raddish, Floyd (Bull) Cupp, Donnie Brock, Johnnie Brock, Bill Bailey, Charles Saylor, Derek Goodin, Brian Yankey, Jim Miracle, Dr. Jerry Woolum, and the Men of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
