Taylor North

Taylor North, 77, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Mountain View Nursing and Rehab Center, Pineville. He was born on June 10, 1936, a son of the late Lige L. and Cloa Caldwell North. He was a member of the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church and had been a carpenter for Giles Industries. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Howard North, daughter, Angela Charlene North; sons, Haig and Lonnie North; sisters, Mary Ellen Saylor Smith and Audrey Coleman. Survivors include his children, Jewell Darlene Brock and Charles Dewayne North; grandchildren, Marty Justin Howard, Austin North and Caitlan North; brothers and sisters, Herman North, Larry North, Gathel Parks, and Louise Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church with Rev. Herstel Belcher and Rev. Phillip Marsee. Music will be by the Church Family. Burial will be in the Ben's Branch Cemetery at Stoney Fork with Ron North, Mark Tolliver, Austin North, Steve North, Brian Rice serving as pallbearers. The family received friends on Sunday evening and Monday after 4 PM at the Laurel Branch Pentecostal Church.
