Steve Young

Marion Steven Edward Young, 61 of Cumberland Gap, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the Tri State Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate.  He was born in Tazewell on January 15, 1964, a son of Evelyn “Allie Leach” Young and the late Marion Steven “MS” Young.  Steve proudly served his country in the United States Army and had been a Security Officer for the United States Government.  He loved football, basketball and bingo.  He enjoyed family cookouts and loved his grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Becky Inman.

Steve is survived by his mother, Evelyn “Allie Leach” Young; children, Cindy and Patrick Young, Sierra Young, Simon Young, and Jeremiah Young; grandchildren, Maddison Young, Stella Young, Audrie Morrison, and Konner Webb; siblings, Connie Hatfield, Roxanne Young, and Andrea and Clint Bell; "He is also remembered by a special friend, William Jesse, with whom he shared a bond that began in childhood and grew even stronger through their years of military service together, as well as a host of neices, nephews and other relatives and friends."

Services will be at a later date.  Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate is honored to serve the Young Family.
