Steve Asher

Steve Asher, 75, of Pineville, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was born in Red Bird on February 16, 1943 a son of the late Wilk Asher and Viola Brummett Chamberland. He had been a carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Steven Wayne Asher and Benjamin Aaron Asher and his brother and sisters, Alec Asher, Sue Lawson, Lois Hobbs and Mary Rose England. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rhymer Asher; children, Susan Walker, Sherry King, Bubby and Tina Asher, Asher and Elvis Asher; grandchildren, Mackenzie Asher, Tara Asher, Emily Asher, Bianca Asher, Anthony Asher, Krystal Asher, Becky Billings, Kimberly Kinkaid and Tyler King; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Arthur Asher, Joe Asher and Jennie Armstrong and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Blackstar Pentecostal Church with Rev. J.C. Craig. Burial will be in Tackett Hill Cemetery, Blackmont with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends after 6:00 PM Friday at Blackstar Pentecostal Church. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the Asher Family.
