Stanley Marison Brooks, 84, of Harrogate, TN, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on March 17, 1927, in Claiborne County, TN, and a member of Pump Springs Baptist Church.
He was a member of the 793rd Military Police Battalion serving in Germany as a personal bodyguard and a member of the motor brocade to General Patton during the Nuremberg Trials during World War II. He was honorably discharged on October 19, 1946, and received the Army Occupational Medal (Germany) World War II Victory Ribbon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William McKinnely 'Ken' Brooks and Joncie Mae Fletcher Brooks, and one infant sister, Madgie Brooks.
He is survived by his wife and constant companion, Ruby Tolliver Brooks, whom he married on June 12, 1948. He continued to live a happy life with an undying love for 62 years.

Daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Sharon 'Susie' and David Icenhour; Donna Brooks, Charlotte and Lynn Earls, Jill and Kent Hatmaker;
Grandchildren, Amy Icenhour, Matthew, Cayla, Tara and Gracie Earls; Olivia Price, Nathan and
Avery Hatmaker.
Funeral service will be 2 PM Sunday at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Emery Minton Jr. officiating. Music by Betty Davis, Linda Lankford, & Ben Dishner. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Saturday at Reece Funeral Home. Burial in The Shell Cemetery with full military honors provided by Tri County Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers, Lynn Earls, Kent Hatmaker, Matthew Earls, Nathan Hatmaker, Steve Mason and Roger Dean Mason.
