Stanley Hollis Boggs, 83, of Bledsoe, KY passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Harlan ARH. He was born in Harlan on May 31, 1935 a son of the late John and Alice Williams Boggs. He had been a heavy equipment operator in mining and logging. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Linda Whitaker, Stanley Hollis Boggs, Jr. and infant, Marilyn Boggs; sisters, Sue and Winston Miniard, Aileen and Junior Viars and Loraine and Fred Lewis and brother in-law, Sam Engle. Survivors include his wife of nineteen years, Kathleen Bailey Boggs; children, Brenda and Johnny Witt and Marty and Tammy Boggs; son-in-law, Bear Whitaker; daughter-in-law, Cathy Boggs; step-children, Jack Green, Jeff Green and Bobbie Jean Messer and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Holly Witt, Brandon Witt, Natasha Boggs, Emily Boggs, Brian Boggs and Tyler Boggs; step-grandchildren, Savanah Higginbotham and husband, Chris and Jacob Messer; five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild; sisters, Barbara Engle and Opal Smith and husband, Thurston and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Don Messer. Music will be by Faye Messer. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery at Loyall with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Boggs Family.
