Squire ?Red? Brummett, 85, of Kettle Island, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Crockett on July 30, 1923, the son of the late Jake and Sarah Brummett. He had been a Coal Miner and a Veteran of WWII. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Brock Brummett, sons, Henry Lee Brummett, Jim L. Brummett, baby daughter Wilma Brummett and several sisters and brothers. Survivors include his children, Clyde Brummett and wife, Nancy, of Kettle Island, Harvey Brummett of Kettle Island, Barbara Wilson and husband,Kenneith,of Greensboro, NC, Vada Doizer and Jimmy, of Straight Creek, Mary Simmons and husband, Mike, of Cambridge, MD, Martha Brummett of Straight Creek and Amanda Miracle and husband, Randy of Clear Creek; Eleven grandchildren and Eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Imagene Sealing of Louisville, brothers, Albert Brummett of Louisville and Donnie Johnson of Louisville, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,
