Spurgeon O. Thompson

Spurgeon Thompson age 70 passed away at his home July 1 2014. Born March 26, 1944 to the late William & Mellie Redmond Thompson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Sister- Virginia Bolton. He was an Elder at Gibson Station Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include; Wife- Jean of Harrogate, Daughters- Rebekah (& Mark) Daniels of Tazewell, and Angela (& Chris) Green of Middlesboro, Grandchildren- Amber (& Steve) Ayers & Tristan Daniels both of Tazewell, Macy Green & Hannah Faith Green both of Middlesboro and several friends.

Funeral Service 8 PM Thursday July 3with Elder Lawrence Adams, Rev. Jerry Epperson & Elder DC Brantley officiating. Music by Claude & Shirley Sandifer, Billy Cunningham, Ocie Ball & Carol Epperson Visitation 6-8. Burial 11 AM Friday in the Southern Cemetery.
