Sophia Chumley Pharris of Windland Towers Nashville, Tenn. Died Oct. 2, 2006. A native of Claiborne Co. Tenn. Mrs. Pharris was preceded in death by her husband Edward Freeman Pharris. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Patterson Chumley.

Mrs. Pharris was a charter member of The First Baptist Church of Harrogate, passed worthy Matron of The Eastern Star and Mother Advisor to the Rainbow Girls. She was a member of New Tazewell First Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday Oct. 5, with Rev. J.L. Shawn officiating. Burial in the Chumley Family Cemetery.
