Solomon Junior Davis

Solomon Junior Davis, 77 of Arjay, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Middlesboro ARH. He was born on May 19, 1945, a son of the late Solomon and Mae Starrett Davis. He had been a coal miner. Solomon was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and loved to hunt and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Richard Wilson; brother, Clyde Davis; and sister, Arbula Bryant.

Solomon is survived by his wife of 59 years, Hester Hubbard Davis; son, Timothy Davis and Amber Anderson; daughter, Tammy Renee Saylor; grandchildren, George and Brittany Davis, Nicholas and Haley Davis, Kevin and Melissa Davis, Samuel Davis, Richard and Shaunta Wilson, Heather and Keith Elliott, Travis and Jessica Saylor, Samantha and Chris Mason, Shelby Saylor, and Teanna Davis; great-grandchildren, Destiny Davis, Anikh Davis, Gloria Davis, Addison Davis, McKinsley Davis, Hunter Mason, Chase Mason, Alyssa Anderson, Gaige Widner, Caden Wilson, Adian Widner, Jace Wilson, Payton Elliott, and Kylee Elliott; special nephew, Steve and Tammy Bryant; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the Arjay Community Pentecostal Church with Rev. Gary Wagner presiding. Music will be provided by Julie Wagner. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations toward the funeral service would be appreciated.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday after 6:00 PM at the Arjay Community Pentecostal Church.
