Shirley Young

Shirley Matthews Young, 72, of Middlesboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at the Middlesboro ARH. She was born in Fourmile on December 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Ben and Minnie Young. She was a member of the Old Fourmile Pentecostal Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lynn Matthews, a grandchild, Terri Lynn Dunn and a brother, Jerry Young. Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Betts, Rosemary and Rev. Bill Dunn, Becky and David Matthews, Sherry Matthews, Joyce Matthews and Melissa Warren, grandchildren, Bill David and Angie Dunn, Steven and Felicia Matthews, Chris and Sabrina Matthews, John David Matthews, Jay and Becky Lynn Skinner, Lucas Certain, Kenny Certain, Melissa Certain, Nathan and Ashley Lunn, Lawrence and Trina Smith, Ryan Warren and Alexandra Warren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jessie and Vernon Posey, Elaine Ponsot and Johnny Young, all of Fort Wayne, IN, Rosemary ?Tinki? LaFallett of New Holland, OH and Benny Young of Florida, special friend, Brenda Yeary and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and special thanks to Dr. Shawn Fugate and Dr. C.A. Moore.
