Shirley Mason

Shirley Wilder Mason, 61 of Middlesboro, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the Tri State Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrogate. She was born in East Jellico Hollow on February 6, 1961, a daughter of the late Charlie and Dora Lee Edmondson Wilder. Shirley was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church and had been a Registered Nurse.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Arlis Wayne Wilder.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roger Mason; daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Kenneth Johnson; grandchild, Kharis Johnson; siblings and their spouses, Charles and Carolyn Wilder, Geraldine and Jerry Jeffers, Tony and Stella Wilder, Debbie and Bobby Thompson, and Louise and Stanley Saylor; sister-in-law, Melody Wilder; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Odie Carroll presiding. Music will be provided by Norman Marcum and Mark Mahurin. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in East Pineville. Pallbearers will be Tim Edmondson, James Brooks, Rick Slusher, Donald Reefer, Rick Partin, and Lonnie Rickett.
