Shirley Faye Saylor Brock

Shirley Faye Saylor Brock, 82, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Stoney Fork, on February 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Squire and Mossie Saylor. She believed in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy M. Brock; twin granddaughters, Sierra and Noel Bailey; and brothers and sisters, Sol and Phronia Saylor, Lester Saylor, Walter and Aubrey Saylor, and Emma Saylor.

Shirley is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Heather and John Hurley and Kristy and Brian Williamson; grandchildren, Whitney Bailey and Ryan Gilbert, Tyler Bailey, Bradley Bailey and John Madison Hurley; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Kaylee Gilbert; brothers and sisters, Joe Saylor, Charlotte Mahurin, Bonnie Lou and Mark Mahurin, Stanley and Lou Saylor, and Reed Saylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Stoney Fork Pentecostal Community Church with Rev. Hardy Franks, Rev. Mark Mahurin, and Rev. Jeff Baker. A poem will be read by Whitney Bailey. The music is by Kristy Williamson, Louise Saylor, and Ashley Gollihue. The burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro. The pallbearers will be Tyler Bailey, Bradley Bailey, John Madison Hurley, Brian Williamson, Ryan Gilbert, and Joey Saylor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville which is honored to serve the Brock Family.
