Sherry Ann (Brooks) Douglas

Sherry Ann Brooks Douglas, age 57, of Ewing, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Claiborne Medical Center in Tazewell, TN.  Born September 9, 1959, she was a lifelong resident of Ewing, Virginia and a retired nurse with more than 20 years of service and care giving.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thaniel Brooks, mother, Gracie Sutton Brooks; nephew, Derek Jones and great-niece, Trinadee Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Natasha Grace Douglas of Ewing; her three sisters, Ann (& Don) Taylor of Russellville, TN, Margie (& David) Jones of Sneedville, TN, Janice (& Jim) Barnes of Ewing; brother, Ken (& Donna) Brooks of Ewing.   She is also survived by a large host of cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and a large group of friends.

Graveside services will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Jones Cemetery in Ewing with the Rev. Preston Smith officiating.  Music will be provided by Jim Barnes, Adam Barnes and Mike Mooney.  Eulogy will be given by Steven Cupp.  Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers, Luke Brooks, Jason Brooks, Adam Barnes, Buddy Mustard, Terry Cheak, David Jones, Jim Barnes and Darrin Jones.
