Sheriff Anthony Sean Pursifull

Deputy Sheriff Anthony Sean Pursifull, 31, of Pineville passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 in the line of duty along with his K-9 Partner, King. He was born in Pineville on June 8, 1976 the son of Bernice Fuson Pursifull Mills and the late Kern Pursifull, Jr. He was a believer in the Baptist Faith. Sean had been a Sheriff Deputy for the past six years and was a K-9 officer. He began his career as an officer with the Pineville Police Department. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kern, Sr., and Mary Valentine Pursifull and John Will and Ollie Short Fuson. Survivors include his wife, Melonie Deana Horn Pursifull, daughters, Victoria Alexis Pursifull and Franki Seantae Pursifull; mother, Bernice Mills, brother, Dewayne Mills, uncle, Charles ?Sug? Fuson and a host of other relatives and friends.
