Sheila Elaine Lankford

Sheila Elaine Wolfenbarger Lankford, 71, of Tazewell, TN passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Claiborne Medical Center. She was born in Pineville on January 5, 1950 a daughter of the late John Rolf and Matoaka Hensley Wolfenbarger. She was a member of Ferndale Trinity Full Gospel Church and had been a Registered Nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Karcher and brothers, Eugene Hensley, Ronald Wolfenbarger and Eddie Wolfenbarger. Sheila was survived by her sons, Cillis Gene Lankford, II and wife, Milissa of Tazewell, TN and Curtis William Lankford and wife, Kimberly of Rose Hill, VA; grandchildren, Cillis Gene Lankford, III, Dustan Harold Lankford, Ginger Nicole Lankford, Curtis William Lankford, II and Caleb Bradley Lankford; great-grandchildren, Dustan, Bentley, Zackary and Aaron; sister, Freda Gasperson; brother, Gary Wolfenbarger, Johnny Wolfenbarger and Broudis Wolfenbarger; former husband, Cillis Lankford and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Kersey and Rev. Harold Sutton. Music will be provided by Ferndale Trinity Full Gospel Church members. Burial will follow in the Lankford Cemetery at Fourmile with the grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Lankford family.
