Sharon Diana (Tinnel) Allen

Sharon Diana Tinnel Allen, 71, of Cumberland Gap passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born in Lafollette on June 21, 1953, and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bonnie Jones Tinnel. Sharon retired from First Century Bank where she was a supervisor and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Moyers, and brothers, Ernie Tinnel and Randy Tinnel.

Survivors include her husband of 16 years, Tommy Wayne Allen; son, Jason Layne; step-sons, Waylon Allen and wife, Angela and Tony Allen and wife, Rose; granddaughters, Ellie Jo Layne, Meredith Allen and Madeline Allen; sister, Rita Pratt; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 25 at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Richard Proffitt. Music will be by The Graves Family, George Bolinger, and the church choir. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Resthaven Cemetery in Loyall, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Jason Layne, Waylon Allen, Tony Allen, Vic Graves, Kojak Graves and Mark Honaker.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until funeral hour on Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate which is honored to be serving the Allen Family.
