Sewell Boldin, 85 of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at his home in Middlesboro. He was born in Rose Hill, Virginia on December 31, 1939, the son of Charlie M. and Zora Miracle Boldin. He retired as a machinist from Reynolds Aluminum in McCook, Illinois and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Sewell is survived by his wife of 37 years, Geraldine Boldin; son, Billy Boldin of Oak Forest, Illinois; daughter, Deborah and Ivan Garcia of Round Lake Beach, Illinois; stepdaughters, Audrey and Jeff Daniels of Harrogate, Tennessee, Jossette Emery of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, and Lisa Barnett of Middlesboro, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Leslie Lucas, Jeremy Garcia, Jake Boldin, Colby Daniels, Emilie Cook, and Abagail Barnett; one great-grandchild, Damon Lucas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sewell is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie M. and Zora Miracle Boldin; sister, Geneva Robbins; and two brothers, Charles Boldin, Jr. and J.G. Boldin.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Danny Robbins presiding. Military honors will follow at 3:00 PM on Monday with the Tri-County Honor Guard at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel. Burial will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Knoxville.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to serve the Boldin Family.
