Scotty Joe Garnett

Scotty Joe Garnett, 60, of Greeneville, TN, formerly of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Four Oaks Nursing Home in Jonesboro, TN. He was born in Pineville on August 3, 1964, a son of the late Hobart Garnett and Norma Jean Slusher Garnett Hoskins. He had been a landscaper. Scotty loved sports and coached football, basketball and softball so he could participate in his children’s activities. He was an avid Kentucky fan and enjoyed watching the Wildcats play.

He was preceded by his parents and a brother, David Ray Garnett.

Scotty is survived by his children, Morgan Sexton and Husband, Glen and Ryan Garnett and wife, Victoria; granddaughter, Brooklyn Sexton; brother, Johnny Garnett and wife, Susan, sister, Michelle Carrick and husband, Brian; nieces and nephews, Danita Biliter, Jason Garnett, Jeremy Garnett, Dalton Rhodes, Reilly Rhodes, Peyton Rhodes, Cullen Carrick, Quinlan Carrick and Cameron Carrick and a host of friends.

Memorial Services will be on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 4:00 PM with Rev. Shawn Allen officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Garnett Family.
