Samuel Hugh Brown, 52 of Bell County, Kentucky passed away quietly in his sleep at home. Sam was a quiet hardworking man. He began work at Kanawha Steel with the Logan Corporation at the age of 17. He worked many years before leaving to go to work at Watkins Steel until the time of his death. He was a welder and a machinist.
Sam was known to his wife and children as a gentle giant, always willing to help anyone in need without hesitation. He loved his family, friends, dogs, and especially his grandchildren. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, and relaxing in his hammock.
Sam is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Brown; paternal grandparents, Daisy Hensley Wagner and Paris Brown; and maternal grandparents, Remi and Sarah Helton.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife, Lori Brown; son, Daniel Mills; daughter, Holly and Josh Black; father, Sam Brown; sister, Connie and Jerry Watkins; seven grandchildren, Caleb Mills, Brianna Mills, Kaitlyn Mills, Bethany Mills, Sabin Black, Daken Black, and Killian Black; fur babies, Lucy, Gaundi, Kizzy, and Gus; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Brown Family. Light a candle of remembrance and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
